Hi, I'm Carreen aka 'Mama Dukes' started 2018. My son, Justin & his wife, Dana own and operate CrossFit Skyway in St. Petersburg, Florida. Never in my wildest ambitions did I think I would be doing CrossFit. Living with 2 chronic illness for the past 15 years (Type 2 Diabetes & Crohn's Disease), I decided to trust & listen to Justin. My coach scaled my WOD's to my abilities & I began seeing differences in my blood sugar levels, gut issues (I'm eating healthier!), confidence, strength, flexibility and more. Crazy as it sounds, I love being tired and sore! Now, in 2022 I’ve lost over 40 lbs, countless inches and love being part of the CrossFit Skyway family. I've been married for 37 years, proud mom to 2 other grown-ups, Caitlin and Zack. I became a Grams in December 2019 - the best love ever!! When I'm not working out, trying new foods, enjoying life I'm the proud mom of Harley, my 10 year old boxer. Retired in 2021 & living the dream!
