Born and raised an Army Brat. Graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2003 with a degree in Psychology and Systems Engineering. Was commissioned as a 2LT in the Engineers in May of 2003. Served wtih the 937th EN Group as a Horizontal Platoon Leader and completed 4 years of duty with the 1st EN Battalion in various staff positions to include Battle Captain during Operation Iraqi Freedom during the surge for a combat engineer unit. Also assisted as the Battalion Civil Affairs officer, conducting humanitarian support missions in Iraqi villages. Currently serves as US Senator Kay R. Hagan’s in-state military liaison to the state of North Carolina and serves as an Action Officer in the NC National Guard J-5. Married to Jonathan, an Active Duty Soldier and has one child, Colton (2.5 years old)
