How I Eat

I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount

I had to make a few changes based on a food log. tweak here and there. Better proteins and Carbs now. More meals a day... I wasn't eating enough.

How I Train

I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

I have a coach who determines my programming

My Athletic Background

I played youth or high school level sports

I played college sports

Grew up in San Diego, so I swam and played water polo through High School and College. Branched into Triathlons and Cycling, but this was all back in the day.

My Experience With CrossFit

I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)

Started at CrossFit North Fulton. Still there... I also visit a box anytime I travel. I enjoy seeing how others run classes and boxes. Plus the ability to be welcomed into a group as a "drop in" is awesome. Invictus, CrossFit Full Potential and CrossFit Valdosta, thanks. I constantly tell those that ask about CF, "I am stronger than I have ever been". I started "recreationally" through a fellow firefighter, that got me in for a test drive. I was hooked. Did group classes in the am and enjoyed the dynamic and WODs. Myself and a couple others decided to challenge ourselves more and began small group strength training and I saw great gains ( for my ability ). Since October, we have focused on OPT workouts. We constantly push each other.

My Work/Rest Schedule

I usually only do 1 workout a day

I strictly schedule my rest days

I workout 5 days a week. As a firefighter, I have to work around my schedule at times, but can usually get the workout in at some point. I also match up with a great crew at CFNF, a few days a week. Rest days are typically Z1 cardio of some type.

How long have you been doing CrossFit?

1-2 years

I have been enjoying the beat downs for a year and a half, and keep coming back for more. Crazy.
