I love sports and eating (thankfully Crossfit helps with both)! I work as a policy analyst. Outside of the office and the gym, I play rugby, bike, cook, and enjoy the awesome Bay Area!
How I Eat
I love to eat!!!! I'm mostly paleo, with some flexibility on weekends.
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I follow my gym's programming, with some supplemental work for competitors.
My Athletic Background
I played youth or high school level sports
I played college sports
I regularly play recreational sports
I've played sports my entire life. I discovered rugby in college and have played for the last 15 years. I play for the Berkeley All Blues, one of the top women's club teams in the country, which competes in the Women's Premier League. I have been part of seven National Championships, including this past fall's title!
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)
I started Crossfit 2.5 years ago to become stronger and fitter for rugby.
My Work/Rest Schedule
It depends. During rugby season, I typically do two Crossfit workouts a week. In the off-season, I train 5-6 days a week and try to listen to my body to determine my rest days.
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
I started at Crossfit East Bay in the summer of 2010 and switched to NorCal Crossfit that fall after changing jobs. This past November, I got a new job and joined Arena Ready Crossfit in San Francisco. I have loved my time at each affiliate and feel fortunate to be part of such great communities!
