How I Eat
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
Mostly Paleo, but add in some complex carbs from time to time. I also like my Chocolate, which doesn't help.
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I have a coach who determines my programming
I record my workouts
I record my workouts each day and detail where things hurt and keep notes for next time. I track all of my lifting which has recently started to pick up even though the numbers are still not quite there.
My Athletic Background
I played professional sports
Soccer in England until I was 19, then semi-pro in England until I was 24 and moved over to the States
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit by trying it alone (without a coach)
I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit
Crossfit is just tops, there's nothing else that can leave you so spent and in pain and yet you want more. I've played a lot of sports at some pretty high-levels and I've seen nothing like the camaraderie that Crossfitters have between them, the sense of community and the feeling of belonging you get no matter which affiliate, which day of the week in whatever country. This truly is the sport of the masses and yet still remains the sport of the future.
My Work/Rest Schedule
I do multiple workouts in a day 3+ times a week
I strictly schedule my rest days
I typically rest 4 or more days per month
Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday - two lifts per day (during lifting programs) and a WOD Friday - Max day (during lifting programs) and a WOD Saturday I try to do a light WOD or team WOD Thursday/Sunday Days off. I've learned that stretching on these days helps me a lot.
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
Been at CFNF for almost two years now. Began Crossfitting by myself before this until I got frustrated not being able to RX and not having the equipment. Just wish I'd found Crossfit a decade ago!
