Bio

“Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and Determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “Press On” has solved and will always solve the problems of the human race.” Calvin Coolidge (1872-1933); 30th Us President

ATHLETE INFORMATION

How I Eat

I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount

I really don't eat cheat meals.Generally tons of veggies and 4-6 oz. of meat for lunch and dinner. I guess it would be Paleo with a little dairy but don't buy into all the hype crap. Fried food is poison. Never eat garbage..sometimes I throw too much down the pie hole though...So I'm still a fat old guy Breakfast varies but no oatmeal or grains for sure.

How I Train

I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

I record my workouts

just an old guy trying to get in shape...not really good at anything but I try and show up every time, train intelligently (scale) and give it my best.

My Athletic Background

I played youth or high school level sports

I regularly play recreational sports

Thought I was in shape until I did a main side WOD in early 2010..totally kicked my butt and had to check it out..never looked back.

My Experience With CrossFit

I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)

I have attended one or more specialty courses

I need all the help I can get and my girlfriend reminds me of it everyday.

My Work/Rest Schedule

I usually only do 1 workout a day

I tend to train 2-3x per week, off days include road biking and swimming...if I do more I tend to break down...I'm learning less is more for me.

How long have you been doing CrossFit?

2-4 years

April 2010
