2024 update: I won the lottery with my four children! They are all my reasons! I am fortunate to call the mountains of Colorado home. For employment, I am a full-time high school English teacher, I run a ski program for the Competition Center at Winter Park Resort, and I wait tables in Grand Lake. I started Crossfit in 2011, and I fell in love with the community and the workouts. Unfortunately, I had to take extended absences due to some injuries (six years in total). 12 surgeries later (including dual knee replacement, rotator cuff/bicep tendon repair, and a broken kneecap repair (twice)), Although I am still recovering from the broken kneecap, I am back, and I have a new appreciation for walking. I want to thank the Steadman Hawkins Clinic for giving me my life back. Proudly, I train at Stand Firm Crossfit in Granby, Colorado. We have an amazing community and very knowledgeable coaches, so I continue to be blessed. Crossfit provides me the fitness levels necessary to continue to participate in all of the other sports that I enjoy: skiing, soccer, hiking 14ers, water skiing, mountain biking.
