Initially peer pressure but, after I went to my first couple Saturdays of the Open, I really became competitive. I also began to meet people at my gym whom I had never met or talked to, these guys and gals are now some close friends of mine. Even though I will never make it to the game or probably even podium at a local competition, its given me more drive from day to day at the gym to become better.
