Athlete: Kimball Johnson
How I Eat
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
Mostly Paleo/primal; 1-4 'cheats'/month
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I do what I am told by any coach that will tell me; grateful for any piece of advice! :)
My Athletic Background
I played youth or high school level sports
I played college sports
Ages ago! Long distance bicycle racing: Race Across America (RAAM) 1996 Mixed Team Champion; Division 2 (small) college basketball High school basketball....back when there was a 'Rover'. LOL, I am really dating myself now!
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)
I have completed the CrossFit Level 1 certificate course
I have attended one or more specialty courses
I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit
I use the principles, mechanics, and concepts in my professional life as a physician. Teaching squats, mobility, and nutrition in my patient visits daily; Crossfit is the best 'anti-aging' medicine available. I love all the young comardarie. Such fun for me!
My Work/Rest Schedule
I usually only do 1 workout a day
I strictly schedule my rest days
I typically rest 4 or more days per month
Rest is essential....to functioning the rest of the week! Age may just a number in our head, but there are certain realities I must respect: rest and being more cognizant of injury prevention. I need more rest than I did a decade ago. There is nothing constant but change; grasp that and life is more fun.
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
Began November 2011. I wish this had been around 50 years ago! Fun!
