I joined Crossfit Central a couple of years ago at the urging of my husband. We would hear the morning workouts happening on our morning walks and were always curious at all the noise that early in the morning. Joining Crossfit was the best thing I think we have ever done. It has become a total obsession for me and I hate it when I miss a workout. It's definitely a highlight of my week.

How I Eat

I weigh and measure my food

I eat 1-3 full cheat meals per week

I eat a well balanced diet that's high in fresh vegetables and fruit, modest amount of lean meats and low in bad carbs(grains and refined foods). I weigh and measure everything that I prepare for myself. I like to cook so everything I make is from scratch. I do like to eat out on occasion but try to make good choices, which is really hard to do and sometimes I do splurg when I eat out.

How I Train

I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

I record my workouts

I do a combination of things. I go to Crossfit 2X per week and I also do some workouts at home or at the YMCA on my own.

My Athletic Background

I have no athletic background besides CrossFit

I have been active all my life, but not really involved in sports. I am an avid swimmer, hiker, and all things outdoors.

My Experience With CrossFit

I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)

My Work/Rest Schedule

I usually only do 1 workout a day

I do multiple workouts in a day 1x a week

I strictly schedule my rest days

I typically rest 4 or more days per month

I try to work out 5 days/week and rest for two days. When I work out on my own, I usually do 2 WOD's

How long have you been doing CrossFit?

2-4 years

I started Crossfit in March of 2010.
