My Athletic Background

Started my career early on during high school with my cheerleading, (I was a competitive cheerleader for 11 years and travelled across Canada and the U.S.) which then turned into my coaching my own cheerleading team for 3 years to consecutive victories. This is where my personal training began ten years ago, as well as working in an all women's gym teaching group classes and personal training. My passion grew to where I wanted to start up my own business, Poise Fitness & Training was born. I was still searching for that ultimate test of fitness and that is why clients chose me as their trainer because I gave them a challenge and results. They never knew what to expect it was always different and in a fun and safe way. Then I was introduced to CrossFit in early 2008 and haven't looked back since. When I moved to Renfrew county in 2010, I had to hang up my pom poms and dive into my new love, CrossFit. I knew I wanted to continue to help people with a holistic approach in health and fitness, in addition to developing as a competitive athlete. That is when CrossFit Poise opened its doors in October 2010. CFP is now just about 3 years old and in its second location. With its overwhelming growth I have to thank my athletes who have become a tight knit community of friends and who I like to call my family and without their support I would not be where I am today.I look forward to completing Olympic lifting meets in the near future and I am also currently getting my degree in strength & conditioning
