I started Crossfit in September 2013 and never looked back. I have been a "gym rat" on and off for many years, never really seeing the results I was expecting; turns out, I am not very good at motivating myself to push out of my comfort zone... :-) I must admit that joining Crossfit was very intimidating, but I stuck with it and slowly but surely gained confidence (and strength). I have made good friends along the way and a being part of a very supportive community (shout out to the Crossfit Oshawa community and coaching staff) is the motivation and support I needed to help me in my fitness journey. I am an avid golfer and thanks to Crossfit, I have increased my overall distance (and accuracy) by 15% to 20% and have brought my handicap down by 2 strokes (I am now a 7 handicap). Finally, I have to say that I never thought that at my age, I would be in the best shape of my life, feeling good about myself and always looking forward to each WOD; I hope to be able to do Crossfit for many more years!
