D-1 Swimmer at Florida Atlantic; CF L1 Coach at Crucible Mobility Certified 2012 Regionals I started competing last year and haven't looked back since. I am coached by my best friend and boyfriend, Lance Scott, and I think he has me on the best program for me. We change things as needed, and focus on my weaknesses without putting my strengths on the backburner. I love my Crucible family and couldn't be happier with how the last year has come together. Definitely looking forward to this years season!
How I Eat
I eat an 80/20 paleo. I try to eat as clean as I can but enjoy the occasional sandwich and cookie. I avoid alcohol all together in season, and limit my intake during the summer and fall, depending on my competition schedule. I have found it easier to keep my weight up by occasionally having cheese or bread, but all cooking at home is strict paleo.
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I have a coach who determines my programming
I record my workouts
I am fortunate to have an amazing coach as a boyfriend. He programs for the gym and for our competitors. I usually end up spending 2 to 3 hours a day between strength, a metcon, gymnastics, and mobility.
My Athletic Background
I played youth or high school level sports
I played college sports
I was a D1 swimmer for Florida Atlantic. I swam the 200fly, 500and 200 free.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit by trying it alone (without a coach)
I have completed the CrossFit Level 1 certificate course
I have attended one or more specialty courses
I train other people
Crossfit is a huge part of my life. It's shown me family, friends, and is the hardest thing I've ever done. I'm challenged physically and mentally everyday. When I first started cf it was with my boyfriend Lance, and we didn't mostly on our own. We finally joined crucible in 2011 and it was the best decision Of our lives. I've never seen either of us this happy or this dedicated to our workouts, especially to our weaknesses. We joke about me crying about heavy back squats...which heavy then is now literally a warmup set... We can't imagine our life with our crucible family!
