4 years ago I joined a Crossfit gym and little did I know how important this would be! In the spring of 2015 I was the fittest I had ever been and loved feeling strong and healthy. In April 2015, at 28, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. For over 9 months we kicked cancer's ass through chemo, surgery, and a lot of crossfitting! I am so thankful to have discovered crossfit prior to my cancer diagnosis because I know without a doubt it helped me mentally and physically through my fight! And having my amazing gym, Sopris Crossfit rally behind us made me appreciate our amazing community even more! Now I'm ready to get back to being even stronger than before. Besides crossfit, I love to be outdoors with my husband and dog in the Colorado mountains we live in. From hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, and many other activities it's hard to get a rest day!


How I Eat

I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount

I try to eat healthy by eating majority of my meals at home. But I never say no to a social evening out with friends on the weekend. And I struggle to say not to any sweets when offered to me! :)

I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

I played youth or high school level sports

I regularly play recreational sports

I dabbled in a few high school sports, like track and lacrosse, but my true love was soccer. I played sweeper and/or forward and I loved the game. After high school I struggled to find something I enjoyed as much as soccer...going to the gym was just not fun, until I discovered crossfit!

My Work/Rest Schedule

I do multiple workouts in a day 3+ times a week

I usually train 2-2.5 hours a day, 4-5 days a week. Then one rest day (usually spent outdoors in the Rocky Mountains). And another day of working on gymnastics for an hour.
