I think i'm one of "those" people who found crossfit accidentally, on purpose. I heard of it, dabbled in a mild version of CF, but had no idea of the power and potential that a full-immersion crossfit experience would bring. I was looking for a way to stay fit and improve my running. What I found was an outlet that strengthens me inside and out, and a family connection that I have never found at a traditional gym. Thus, I walked into my CF Box one day with a lot of hope and no idea what I was in for. Walking in that day was the best decision I have ever made. I recently turned 44 and feel better than I did when I was in my 20's. I have a long way to go still, but the sky is the limit.

How I Eat

I eat strict Paleo

I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount

I began eating with Paleo almost a year ago. It has been a learning experience. The biggest lesson was that when I eat clean, I feel great and perform awesome. It's a nice feeling to know that I know exactly what ingredients/foods are going into my body (and knowing how they'll help my health and performance). I still have days where I enjoy "other" foods, but I definitely see and feel how eating Paleo enhances my life.

How I Train

I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

I have a coach who determines my programming

My Athletic Background

I played youth or high school level sports

I was a recreational runner when I began crossfit. Initially, I joined crossfit to become a better runner (and to lesson the aches/injuries I would experience with longer runs). That slowly transitioned into staying primarily with crossfit for the obvious benefits, with a few runs here and there.

My Experience With CrossFit

I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)

My Work/Rest Schedule

I usually only do 1 workout a day

I typically rest 4 or more days per month

How long have you been doing CrossFit?

1-2 years
