How I Eat

I weigh and measure my food

I eat 1-3 full cheat meals per week

I tend to eat fairly clean--except for on Saturdays, which will pretty much always be French Toast Saturdays. I've had success (energy and leanness) with both Paleo and a cyclic ketogenic diet. Right now, I'm leaning a lot closer to Zone, with a tweak toward fewer carbs.

How I Train

I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

I incorporate workouts

I record my workouts

I'm polyboxal. I'm a member at Crossfit Invoke, but I have to give a shout out to my extended crossfit family at CF Brave--because they let me come out to play 2 or 3 times a week. Sometimes, there's a little bit of overlap in the training at the gyms, so I get creative.

My Athletic Background

I played youth or high school level sports

I regularly play recreational sports

Most of my "athletic" experience comes from my dance background. I also played soccer throughout my teens. I was an avid mountain biker--and a commuter biker--for a few years; then I moved away from the mountains and got a job that required a long drive.

My Experience With CrossFit

I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)

I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit

I started with Crossfit Invoke's BootyCamp in mid-2012. By the end of the year, I'd tried a couple of Crossfit classes and decided that I really enjoyed the lifting -- especially powerlifting. I split my time between two gyms so I can get through a weight cycle every so often.

My Work/Rest Schedule

I usually only do 1 workout a day

I do multiple workouts in a day 1x a week

I typically rest fewer than 4 days per month

How long have you been doing CrossFit?

1-2 years

I'm just hitting the one year mark in February!
