CrossFit Oakland has been the box I have always felt right at home in. I get up at 4:15 am and drive into work and workout at 6 am and it is ALWAYS worth it. I've been a firefighter for the last 19 years and CrossFiting since 2009 and couldn't have found a better program to stay physically fit for my job. I also love to climb and cut trees on my days off and spend time in the outdoors with my wife and three girls.
How I Eat
I eat 1-3 full cheat meals per week
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I workout mostly at home, work, or a traditional gym
I record my workouts
I go to CrossFit Oakland 2 times a week to and from work, and Crossfit the rest of the days in a fire station with other firefighters.
My Athletic Background
I played youth or high school level sports
I regularly play recreational sports
I played sports in highschool and have always been active in anything athletic. I have competed in the Firefighter Combat Challenge for 8 years and have won 2 World Championships with my Team.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit by trying it alone (without a coach)
I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit
I train other people
I began doing CrossFit on my own and then got up the nerve to walk into CrossFit Oakland and have never been happier with my decision. I now introduce other firefighters to the benifits of CrossFit and help train them at the Fire House.
