Have tried to keep fit all my life after failing to do a single chin-up in grade school and decided to do something about it! Still trying to do something about it 50 years later. Probably stronger now than ever. My wife and I hiked Kokoda Track last year and Crossfit was instrumental in preparing us.
How I Eat
I eat food, as per Michael Pollan's Food Rules: "Eat food. Mostly plants. Not too much." And, "if it comes from a plant, eat it. If it is made in a plant, don't." One last one: If your grandmother wouldn't recognize it as food, don't eat it! I definitely do not take supplements at all, think paleo is for cavemen, and am enjoying food.
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
Now five times at week at Schwartze's Crossffit, Caulfield.
My Athletic Background
I played youth or high school level sports
Was a mediocre runner in high school; resumed running when I turned 30. Now, no more running, just whatever the wods include.
