Placed 10th in the World at the 2013 CrossFit Games 40-44 Masters Division. Started CrossFit in 2008. Been an instructor since January of 2009. Opened CrossFit Boynton Beach in January 2010. Competed in first CrossFit event at the 2009 SE Regionals....before there were really any local events. I've seen the sport grow into the unimaginable. I'm proud to be a part of this life changing sport. I currently am an owner of 3 gyms, CrossFit Boynton Beach, CrossFit Delray Beach & The CrossFit Squad. Husband, father of 2.
How I Eat
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
Mostly Paleo during the day. Slight deviation at night. Having a 7 year old & 2 year old in the house makes it harder. If they want M&M's...I want M&M's!
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I have a coach who determines my programming
I record my workouts
I prefer to have somebody else program for me so that I don't deviate from the program. If it's on paper (by somebody else), I have to do it.
My Athletic Background
I played youth or high school level sports
Played football and baseball through middle school, and baseball in high school. I became a gym rat at the age of 23 and never really took a break. I took up Jiu Jitsu at the age of 35 for 3 years and then found CrossFit in 2008 at the age of 38. I'm 44 now and don't feel a day older than 43.

I began CrossFit by trying it alone (without a coach)

My Work/Rest Schedule
I do multiple workouts in a day 2x a week
I strictly schedule my rest days
I typically rest 4 or more days per month
Currently 3 on 1 off, 2 on 1 off. My training days are hard. I look forward to the rest days.
