I am 60 with 1 grown child and 2 grandkids. I retired in 2014 after 31 years and will continue to cherish my family and health with the assistance of CrossFit Industrious and my love of the sport of CrossFit!
How I Eat
I eat strict Paleo
As strict as I can be. I changed my eating habits when I participated in my first food challenge at my box. I became lean and stronger at age 60 than ever before in my life.
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
My Athletic Background
I have been runner for 28 years but never anything like CF and never thought I could. It has changed my whole way of looking at fitness and what it means. I have amazed myself with the progress I have made and how it has improved my running AND my body composistion.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit by trying it alone (without a coach)
I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit
I fell in love with the energy and camaraderie from the beginning and the coaches are the best I have seen. They have encouraged me to grow and continue to do so.
My Work/Rest Schedule
I usually only do 1 workout a day
I strictly schedule my rest days
I typically rest 4 or more days per month
Crossfit is hardcoded in my weekly calendar and I usually make it in 6 days a week.
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
I intend to be a lifer. I intend to improve, get stronger and push myself to the limit.
