I was morbidly obese for over 15 years having devoting all my time and effort to my husband and son. I decided as he left home to go to University that now it was "my time". I lost 8 stone and joined a local gym. I decided the only way to not look back was to change my lifestyle. I enjoyed taking part in spinning classes, circuit training and many other varied classes at my local gym. I was introduced to CrossFit last year and on 1st October 2012 i joined the amazing and supportive community that is CrossFit Leeds. I took part in the Divided We Fall games in November 2012, my first competition at 47 years old! I was overwhelmed by the support from my team mates, my box and all the other athletes taking part. I am totally hooked, I love crossfit and who would have thought 3 years ago when I topped the scales at 286 lbs I would be taking part in the CrossFit Open!! I am proud to be representing lady masters showing the world you are never too old for CrossFit!

Just over a year ago i increased my training schedule and had regular PT sessions. I was introduced to Crossfit Leeds in October 2012 and have never looked back. Crossfit is all i need and want!. Crossfit is a lifestyle choice with an amazing sense of community. I am 48 years old this year ...age is just a number crossfit makes me feel like im still in my 20's!!!
