My fitness journey began in Summer of '05. I discovered CF in '09. This year I will be training in Thailand during the Opens.
How I Eat
I eat strict Paleo
I cook every meal I eat (except when training in Thailand). I am strict about grass-fed meat and organic veggies. Every day I eat garlic, peppers, onions, and ginger. When I make bacon and eggs, I make a scrambler with bison meat, venison, 3 different leafy greens chopped up. Usually I make enough of this for breakfast and lunch. For Dinner I slow-cook meat and veggies in advance and warm that up. I eat avocados, almonds, and olive oil daily for fats. I like spicy food. Lately I have been into kangaroo, wild boar, and elk meat. The beef I buy has been imported from Uruguay. (South America does not use feedlots).
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I try to WOD 5X/week. I always arrive early for joint mobilities, stretching etc.. I rest on weekends. I have an 8 hour office job + 1 hour commute.
My Athletic Background
I have no athletic background besides CrossFit
My first exposure to "PT" was US Forest Service at age 16. Then US Army at age 17. My fitness journey began in Summer of '05.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)
I have completed the CrossFit Level 1 certificate course
I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit
I discovered CF by accidental Google search for kettlebell trainers. My goal is to develop myself as an athlete and eventually trainer.
My Work/Rest Schedule
I usually only do 1 workout a day
I am able to train full-time 6-12 weeks/year, sometimes more.
