I was a partner/coach at a local CrossFit in Lake Tahoe for five years and had the pleasure of befriending and coaching many, many wonderful people in that time. I'm in the process of beginning a new adventure soon! I won the CrossFit Games (55-59) in 2012 at age 58 with plenty of help and good fortune. Last year I struggled with an upper respiratory condition and didn't make the cut. At age 60, this is my last chance to be the 'kid' in a new division and I'm hoping to make the most of it! I look forward to this year's competition and hope to be in Carson this summer so I can compete against AND hang out with the likes of Scott Olson, Chris Kulp and all the other great athletes and class individuals in my new division. I've spent a lot of time this last year on power lifting, taking the CF power-lifting cert and Mark Bell's incredible seminar. I recently took Rob Orlando's Strongman cert and am hoping to add Atlas stones, yokes, beer kegs and other fun stuff into my training for the Games. I'm having a blast and hoping to win again!
