Tonight, the teams and individuals gathered on the lawn behind the Manhattan Beach Marriott to hear what Director of the Games Dave Castro would release. They weren't disappointed. Castro unveiled details of six team events and two individual events.
TEAM
Team Events 3 & 4 - Triple Deadlift
For time:
21-15-9 reps for time of:
Deadlifts
Synchronized burpees
100-ft. handstand walk (each round)
Event 3: MMM
Event 4: FFF
The teammates will use a three-person axle bar. 12-minute time cap.
Team Event 5 - Climbing Worm
9-21-21-9 reps for time of:
Worm clean and jerks
Rope ascents
There are two ropes per team.
Team Event 1: Team Murph
Wednesday, July 20
For time:
1,800-meter run with litter
100 Worm push presses
300 chest-to-bar pull-ups
100 Worm squats
1,800-meter run with litter
All team members will wear body armor (20 lb. for men, 14 lb. for women). During the runs, the team will carry a teammate in a litter. Who is carried in the litter will rotate at predetermined intervals.
The litter:
Berm Bob
4 rounds for time of:
600-meter berm run
140-ft. Big Bob push
Buddy Swim
For time:
3-by-500-m swim relay, as pairs
INDIVIDUAL
Individual Event 13: Plow Pull
280-foot plow drag for time.
Each athlete will pull the sled across the field twice.

At the end of the reception, Castro told the individuals to meet in the lobby tomorrow, July 20, at 3:30 a.m. The athletes now know the start time of the 2016 Games, but they do not know what events they will face.
