Drug Testing Update From Fittest in Cape Town

The following team athlete provided a sample that contained a banned substance during the Semifinals stage of competition: 

• Lize Burns of CrossFit Commit Okavango provided a sample that contained metabolites of GW1516 at the Fittest in Cape Town Semifinal on May 29, 2022. 

Burns is appealing the result. There was a clerical error on the doping control form associated with her sample, but after a thorough investigation, it was determined the clerical error did not affect the integrity of the sample. (See section 13 of the CrossFit Drug Testing Policy for additional information on the appeals process).
