I was never a jock. Never played sports in HS or College. Decided to try Golf at the age of 50. Crap. I need to get in shape for this. Started Swimming three days a week. Some guys at the gym convinced me to do a Spartan Race. OK...now I really have to get serious. Rope climbs? Monkey Bars? Burpees? I learned how to do that and did well. I started CrossFit in 2017 when the manager of my gym sprung a WOD on me with burpees, box jump overs and DB snatches. After doing that, I asked him what that was...CROSSFIT and then saw they had a MASTERS division. Low and behold, we would have placed really well in that workout. So now I'm hooked. In 2019, I competed at the Dakota Games in Fargo ND. They only had a 55+ age group and I was 62. Didn't finish last. Sang the national anthem. Had a blast. Check Check Check. Finished 2nd in PA in the Open in 2022 and finished FIRST place Rx 65+ at the 2023 Masters Fitness Championship in Ft. Wayne Indiana. Living the dream baby. It's NEVER TOO LATE!!!
