I train at Atomic Athlete, a private strength and conditioning gym in Austin, Texas. Iâ€™m coached by co-owners Jake Saenz and Tod Moore. My base sports and conditioning plan follows the fluid periodization model developed by Rob Shaul of Mountain Athlete (Jackson Hole, Wy). I work on my Olympic lifts at GrassIron each week. I am coached by the co-owner of GrassIron, Amalia Litras. I also spend time working on microdurability/injury prevention with Sarah E. Scott (owner) at Fitness Doctors Sports Rehabilitation studio. I maintain my overall physical health and joint stability by working with sports practitioners Jill Thomson, MSc, DC, CCSP - owner Austin Sports Therapy and Angela Rich, ATC,PT,ScD - owner Elite Physical Therapy.

I eat quality foods but I donâ€™t measure my intake.

I played youth or high school level sports
I played college sports
Iâ€™ve participated in both team and individual sports all of my life including high school basketball, track and field, college basketball, and endurance road biking
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit by trying it alone (without a coach)
I discovered Crossfit on my own and then trained at an affiliate from 2008-2009. I wrote my own programming for the next few years before discovering Atomic Athlete in 2011.
My Work/Rest Schedule
I do multiple workouts in a day 2x a week
I strictly schedule my rest days
I typically rest 4 or more days per month
3 days at Atomic Athlete, 1 - 2 days at Fitness Doctors, 1 day at GrassIron, 1 -2 days of complete rest
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
I followed the Crossfit programming method for 1 year (2008-2009).
