WORKOUT DETAILS
QUICK START
- Start seated on the rower with hands off of the paddle.
- At “go,” complete 1,000 meters of rowing.
- Then, move to the bar, face the camera, and complete 30 toes-to-bars.
- Then, move to the rope and complete 6 rope climbs to 15 feet (4.57 meters).
- Repeat this sequence for the remainder of the 30 minutes.
- Your score will be the total reps completed in 30 minutes.
- Every 10 meters of rowing counts as 1 rep, rounded down. For example, 277 meters = 27 reps.
- If the time cap is reached during the row, record the distance when the monitor has come to rest (“rollover” distance counts toward your score).
NOTES
- The rower must be 5 feet (1.5 meters) from the rope.
- If the rower is placed in front of the pull-up bar, it must be at least 5 feet (1.5 meters) away.
TIEBREAK
Record the time after each completed round. The LAST completed round will be the tiebreak time. If athletes tie on total reps, the athlete with the faster tiebreak time will win the tie.
EQUIPMENT
- Rogue Echo rower or Concept2 rower
- Pull-up bar
- 15-foot (4.57-meter) rope
- Tape MUST be used to indicate the 5-foot (1.5-meter) minimum distances are maintained.
Refer to APPENDIX D in the 2025 CrossFit Games Rulebook for complete equipment details and video submission standards.
PENALTIES
Penalties may be deducted from the athlete’s total score if CrossFit HQ conducts a review of your video. CrossFit will review videos that receive significant public downvotes.
- The following penalties will be deducted from the athlete’s total score:
- False start penalty, touching handles before “go” = 1-rep penalty
- Toes-to-bar no-rep, to include facing away from the camera = 1-rep penalty
- Rope climb no-rep, to include assistance steadying the rope = 1-rep penalty
- Continuing to row after time ends = 1-rep penalty
- Leaving the rower before 1,000 meters = 1-rep penalty
- If an athlete advances before completing the specified number of reps, their score will stop at the last correctly completed rep.
- For example, the athlete is required to do 100 reps but moves on at rep 98. The athlete’s score will be 98, regardless of the total number of repetitions completed after moving forward incorrectly.
See APPENDIX D in the 2025 CrossFit Games Rulebook for video review penalty information.

1 of 8This floor plan is one option based on the REQUIRED 5-foot distances. Any floor plan that allows for the 5-foot distances and full video-capture of each movement may be used.2 of 8The Row: You must use a Rogue Echo Rower or Concept2 Rower. The monitor on the rower must be set to 0 at the beginning of each row and must be set to METERS. The athlete must remain seated until the monitor reads 1,000 meters. If time-capped on the row, the athlete MUST take their hands off of the paddle when time expires. NOTES: Meters must be verified at the end of each round by the camera. Athletes may receive assistance resetting the monitor between rounds.3 of 8Common no-reps for the row include but are not limited to: Starting without resetting the monitor to 0. Leaving the rower before the monitor is at 1,000 meters. Continuing to row after the time cap.4 of 8Toes-to-Bar: Athletes begin by hanging from the pull-up bar with arms extended. The heels must be brought back behind the vertical plane of the bar. Overhand, underhand, or mixed grips are all permitted. The rep is credited when both feet contact the bar between the hands at the same time. Any part of the feet may make contact with the bar. NOTE: Athletes MUST face the camera when performing toes-to-bars.5 of 8Common no-reps for the toes-to-bar include but are not limited to: Only one foot contacting the pull-up bar or both feet not contacting at the same time. Not contacting the pull-up bar with the feet. Heels remaining in front of the vertical plane of the pull-up bar at the start of the rep. Contacting the pull-up bar outside the hands. Facing away from the camera.6 of 8The Rope Climb: Each rep starts with both feet on the ground. Any style of climbing is permitted. The athlete may jump into the rope climb. The rep is credited when one hand clearly touches above the designated mark. There are no requirements during the descent of the climb.7 of 8NOTES: The rope MUST be at least 5 feet from the rower. When measuring the 15-foot rope climb, you must measure from the surface from which the athlete is jumping (e.g., if using a crash mat, measure from the top of the crash mat to the top of the rope). Athletes CANNOT receive assistance steadying the rope between climbs.8 of 8Common no-reps for the rope climb include but are not limited to: Not clearly touching above the designated mark.
