“Even sometimes those that don’t come in first place — the tendency is to think that what they’re doing is still not 100 percent magnificent, but our community in and of itself is unique in that they will cheer for the person that is the very last as much or more than the person that’s in first place, and that’s badass. That’s the CrossFit way.” — Chuck Carswell
The magic of CrossFit can be felt inside affiliates every day as people endure demanding challenges, overcome adversity, and stretch beyond their perceived limits uplifted by the support of their CrossFit community.
At the 2022 NOBULL CrossFit Games, that magic couldn’t have been more present in the famous Capitol event when the crowd, including a group of kindergarteners shouting, “You can do it!” rallied around Rebecca Fuselier, as the last athlete finished her climb to the finish line.
“It has nothing to do with placement on the leaderboard and everything to do with the mentality that like, ‘Yes, it is worth embracing, it is worth doing,’” Adrian Bozman said. “I think the CrossFit community inherently understands that. They understand that the challenge is worth it.”
