Walking Away from the Crash: Sarah Wilson

Mid Atlantic Regional qualifier, Sarah Wilson, had her season cut short in an instant.

While cycling down the road at 17 miles per hour, a car turned into her lane. She was the first to strike the car, but to everyone's surprise, she was able to walk away.

"I'd flash back to the moment just as the accident occurred and getting up off the concrete. I realized 'I walked away,' Wilson says. "I can't get over that fact."

"So I'm saddened by the fact that I will not be competing, but I'm elated that I'm able to walk around and tell the story to people."
