Traditional Haka Electrifies 2021 Torian Pro Finale

Only three qualifying spots for the Games were up for grabs in Oceania. There was no room for error going into the finale at the Torian Pro.

As roaring fans packed the Patrick Rafter Arena for the Torian Pro, they were treated to the “Welcome to Country” ritual, and a traditional haka dance closed out the event. Read more here

For the men, Bayden Brown had a two-point lead over James Newbury and Luke Fios, who were both knocking on the door and looking to take over his third-place position.

If Royce Dunne wanted to hold on to first place over Jay Crouch, who was just five points behind, he needed to leave it all out on the floor.

With Kara Saunders sitting comfortably at the top of the leaderboard, the battle on the women’s side was for the other two qualifying positions and the last-chance qualifier spots. Laura Clifton and Ellie Turner couldn’t slow down if they wanted to stay in the top three, and Alethea Boon, Maddie Sturt, and Justine Beath needed to kick things into gear if they wanted a second chance at making it to the Games.
