Roman Khrennikov is the 2023 Spirit of the Games award recipient. During the 2023 NOBULL CrossFit Games, he gave us one of the most powerful moments in Games history.
Khrennikov made his in-person CrossFit Games debut last year, despite having previously qualified four times. His much anticipated Games appearance did not disappoint, earning the title of second-Fittest Man on Earth.
At this year’s final, Khrennikov donned the men’s leader’s jersey for several events, on pace to become the new CrossFit Games champion.
After suffering a foot injury in Test 10, Khrennikov decided to finish the final two tests of the competition — one of the most powerful moments in CrossFit Games history.
He closed out his 2023 season as the third-Fittest Man on Earth and an inspiration to the community.
