I was a high-level collegiate athlete when I blew out my knee and gained a tremendous amount of weight due to sudden inactivity without a change in diet. I struggled with binge eating, depression, sugar cravings, and yo-yo dieting from 2006 to 2011. A friend put me on to CrossFit and Mark Sisson's Primal Blueprint. I lost 70 lbs doing CrossFit three to four times per week and using the Primal way of eating. In early 2018, I got certified to be a Primal Health Coach, specializing in women's nutrition through ancestral health. Just after Thanksgiving 2018, I found the Carnivore/Zero Carb diet. I gave that a try and my lingering sugar cravings completely vanished after three days. Since starting Carnivore, I have re-tooled my entire coaching program to align with a zero-carb philosophy and plan on getting my CrossFit L1 in March!
