Played sports as a child, and continued to do so through high school where I was a 3 sport athlete and a top lifter in the weight room. Left sports and strength training behind before returning for one season on wrestling when the college I was attending attempted to begin a program. After leaving that school I joined a Rugby team and have played for the last three years. In July 2011 realizing that I was massively overweight and needed to do more training I joined Capital City Crossfit and shortly afterwards began to eat Paleo. The week of my first workout I weighed 340 pounds, today I am 230. I have made intense changes to my life and the games are a way for me to continue to push myself to succeed and see where I stack up against other athletes in my town, state, region, and all over the world. I can't wait to do this!
