Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)? I stared CrossFit as a way to rehab myself back to playing soccer after knee surgery. From struggling to do the simplest movements in my first WOD to now, I push myself everyday to get just a little better. CrossFit has given me so much more than just health, CrossFit has truly given me a life back, and my passion is to share this gift with anyone willing to work for it. Why did you become a trainer? I have played soccer my whole life along with just about every other sport. After almost losing my leg and life in college to severe knee surgery complications, I was told simply walking would be my daily workout. I was not okay with retiring at age 18; so after 9 months of vigorous rehab and yoga, I attempted CrossFit for the first time (2009). I found myself in a similar situation recovering from breaking my lumbar spine in two places in January 2013. Proper nutrition, recovery and safe movement transformed my odds and put me back in the game.
