Originally from Florida Panhandle, US Navy veteran and 30+ years as SW Eng. for the DoD; currently working for Lockheed-Martin in the Dallas, TX area. He previously resided in Lubbock, TX (Crossfit Wild West) and Huntsville, AL (Crossfit Impulse), as well as several other locations. Neale discovered Crossfit in 2012 as a means to improve his general health and fitness, but immediately connected with both coaching and the competitive aspects of CF. Five years later, he qualified for the 2017 CF Games where he finished in 15th place. In 2018 he finished the Age Group Online-Qualifier in 10th place, earning his 2nd trip to the Crossfit Games. Unfortunately, he was unable to compete withdrawing from the competition on day one. And the in 2022, he qualified for the Games for the 3rd time and finished in 9th place overall. Neale also served as a 4-times judge at the (now defunct) CF Regionals - Atlantic (2016,17) East (2017) and South (2018). He currently holds a CF-L2 Certificate and has worked as a trainer/coach/mentor in several locations since 2015. In his spare time, Neale also enjoys gardening/aquaponics and travelling.
