This year marks the 20th year of the CrossFit Games, a milestone that honors two decades of crowning the Fittest on Earth. From humble beginnings to a global stage, the Games have evolved through the commitment of athletes, fans, and, critically, the volunteers who bring this event to life.
Volunteering at the CrossFit Games isn’t about standing on the sidelines. It’s about being part of the legacy and the CrossFit Games community. From the competition floor to athlete services, fan-facing moments to behind-the-scenes operations, volunteers are woven into every aspect of delivering a world-class experience. If you’re ready to work hard, collaborate with an exceptional team, and contribute to a historic moment in CrossFit history, we invite you to apply as a volunteer for the 2026 CrossFit Games or for the 2026 Divisional Games, comprised of the Masters CrossFit Games by Legends, Teenage CrossFit Games by Pit Teen Throwdown, and Adaptive CrossFit Games by WheelWOD.
Volunteer registration for the Individual and Team divisions at the 2026 CrossFit Games is now open. Registration for the 2026 Divisional Games will open on Tuesday, April 14, at CrossFit.com. This article will be updated when the link is available.

What It Means To Volunteer at the CrossFit Games
The CrossFit Games demand teamwork, focus, stamina, professionalism, and adaptability. In a year celebrating 20 years of competition, the standard is higher than ever. Volunteer roles are hands-on and fast-paced, often involving long days, dynamic environments, and high expectations.
In return, volunteers gain a rare behind-the-scenes view of elite sport, form lasting friendships, and become part of the story of a landmark Games. Team assignments are based on experience, availability, and event needs. Commitment, reliability, accountability, and teamwork are essential across every role.
Can I Volunteer for Both the 2026 CrossFit Games and the 2026 Divisional Games?
While all competitions take place in San Jose during the same week, venues, schedules, and operational demands are distinct, and the volunteer teams that support the 2026 CrossFit Games (Individual and Team) and Divisional Games (Masters, Teenage, and Adaptive) will be distinct, as well.
Planning, preparation, and on-site execution occur simultaneously, so volunteering for both the CrossFit Games and Divisional Games may not be possible due to scheduling conflicts. Applicants should carefully consider their availability and apply for the role and competition where they can commit and contribute most effectively.
IMPORTANT NOTE: There are two separate volunteer registration portals.
Please be sure to select the correct link based on the event you wish to support. Registration for the CrossFit Games will be for the Individual and Team Divisions. Registration for the Divisional Games will be for the Masters, Teenage, and Adaptive Divisions.
Registration for the 2026 CrossFit Games is now open! Divisional Games registration will open on Tuesday, April 14.
A Wide Range of Opportunities
The Games are powered by a diverse volunteer workforce with skills spanning judging, gear and equipment, athlete control, scoring, medical care, fan experience, signage, security, event operations, and event services. Whether you thrive in physically demanding environments, excel in structured systems, have experience judging, or enjoy supporting people and experiences, there is a role that puts your strengths to work.
Some volunteers operate at the heart of the competition, ensuring the floor is ready under tight timelines and live-broadcast pressure. Others focus on the fan journey, shaping how spectators experience the Games from arrival to the award ceremony. Specialized teams support athlete well-being and safety, manage equipment and infrastructure, or oversee volunteer/staff operations themselves. Together, these integrated efforts create a world-class, seamless, and professional event across multiple venues and days.
While each team has a unique focus, all volunteers share the same characteristics: professionalism, adaptability, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence.
For the Adaptive/Teenage CrossFit Games, the mission includes raising up leaders, so a Youth Corps is open to a limited number of adolescents ages 12 to 16. These young people are given special assignments that enhance overall event experiences and give them the opportunity to serve, to learn, and to grow. The Youth Corps will volunteer July 24-26 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center with the teenagers and adaptive athletes only.
What Volunteers Can Expect
Volunteers can expect assigned team leadership and structured training, official event apparel and volunteer gear, meals and hydration during scheduled shifts, and a fun, collaborative, high-energy work environment. Most importantly, volunteers contribute directly to the success of the 20th year of the CrossFit Games.
A minimum of three days' availability is required. Preference will be given to medical and security team volunteers who are available for at least four days, including one day dedicated to training and rehearsals. Volunteers are needed for the following date ranges:

- Masters Division: Saturday, July 18 - Thursday, July 23, 2026
- Teenage Division: Wednesday, July 22 - Sunday, July 26, 2026
- Adaptive Division: Wednesday, July 22 - Sunday, July 26, 2026
Travel, lodging, and non-shift meals are the responsibility of the volunteer.
