For athletes who were unable to attend an in-person event due to COVID-19 restrictions, five CrossFit Semifinals moved to virtual competition: the Lowlands Throwdown, German Throwdown, Brazil…

That’s a wrap for the 2021 NOBULL CrossFit Games Semifinals. For athletes who were unable to attend an in-person event due to COVID-19 restrictions, five CrossFit Semifinals moved to virtual competition: the Lowlands Throwdown, German Throwdown, Brazil CrossFit Championship, Atlas Games, and Asia Invitational. 

All five events had the same programming and the six workouts were released on June 7, 2021. 

Read on for highlights from each event and find out who will be heading to Madison in just a few weeks. 

Those who hovered just below the cutline will have one more opportunity to secure a ticket at the Last-Chance Qualifier, July 2-4. Tune in on games.crossfit.com, YouTube, and Instagram for updates on the weekend.

WEEK 3 SEMIFINALS

Lowlands Throwdown, German Throwdown, Brazil CrossFit Championship

Day 1: Friday, June 11, 12 p.m. (noon) PT -  Events 1 & 2 end, 3 & 4 begin

Guilherme Malheiros and Agustin Richelme found themselves in a vicious Fran-off in Event 1, Annie Thorisdottir set the time to beat in Event 2 for the women, and team CrossFit Villa Luro climbed to the top in team Event 2. Check out highlights for Day 1 here

Day 2: Saturday, June 12, 12 p.m. (noon) PT - Events 3 & 4 end, 5 & 6 begin

Emma McQuaid proved fitness is better with a friend, and Katrin Davidisdottir closed out Event 4 with a crowd of support. Check out highlights for Day 2 here.

Day 3: Sunday, June 13, 12 p.m. (noon) PT - Events 5 & 6 end

Event 5 played to Luka Đukić’s strengths, Gabriela Migalła took Event 6 by one second over Annie Thorisdottir, and team Q21 earned its long-awaited ticket to Madison. Check out highlights from Day 3 here

WEEK 4 SEMIFINALS

Atlas Games & Asia Invitational

Day 1: Friday, June 18, 12 p.m. (noon) PT - Events 1 & 2 end, 3 & 4 begin

Aleksandar Ilin made a statement on Day 1 with back-to-back event wins, Paul Tremblay and Jeffrey Adler raced to the finish in Event 1, and Pro1 Montreal lived up to its hype in the first two events of the day. Check out highlights from Day 1 here

Day 2: Saturday, June 19, 12 p.m. (noon) PT - Events 3 & 4 end, 5 & 6 begin

Svetlana Kubyshkina held the top spot despite a lack of major competition experience, and Alexis Johnson came out hot in Event 4, costing her a fifth-place event finish. Check out highlights from Day 2 here

Day 3: Sunday, June 20, 12 p.m. (noon) PT - Events 5 & 6 end

Brent Fikowski entered Day 3 just 35 points shy of a Games-qualifying position and determined to climb the leaderboard. Check out highlights from Day 3 here
