The 2022 NOBULL CrossFit Games will offer the largest prize purse in its history, with title sponsor NOBULL presenting $2.845 million in total payouts for athletes across all divisions. The total prize purse will increase by $330,000 from last year’s payout of $2.515 million, the largest increase in eight years.
For the first time, all 40 top men and women individual competitors at the Games will share in the prize purse, doubling the number of individual athletes to earn prize money. Team payouts have been expanded to include the top 10 finishers, up from the top five. Adaptive athletes will receive the same prize amount across all eight divisions, expanding from the three divisions that received prize money at last year’s Games. (Five of the eight divisions will name their champions during the Semifinal stage of competition, and the top three finishers from each division will receive the same prize money as the three divisions that will compete in Madison.)
“CrossFit is committed to the continued growth and professionalization of the sport at all levels, and we are delighted to offer not only the largest prize purse in history but also the broadest, as it covers the highest number of competing athletes,” said Justin Bergh, GM of Sport for CrossFit. “With the support of NOBULL, we have expanded the prize purse to include more than 75 additional athletes across the individual, team, and adaptive divisions, so they can be recognized for their accomplishments and continue investing in their competitive journeys.”
“NOBULL was born in CrossFit and we're proud to invest in the growth of the sport as the title sponsor of the CrossFit Games,” said Todd Meleney, Chief Marketing Officer, NOBULL. “This increase in the finals prize purse reflects our commitment to expanding opportunities for CrossFit athletes. Our passion for this community has never been stronger and we’re excited for the future.”
The 2022 Fittest Man and Woman on Earth each will win $310,000.
