CrossFit Enhance is the world's largest team with 520 athletes.
Eighteen hundred and fifteen teams from around the world registered to compete in the 2012 Reebok CrossFit Games Open.
Some of the 1,815 teams are small with just three men and three women, while others are huge with team rosters that break into the triple digits.
Although ultimately it’s not the size that matters, the big guys deserve some props. They’ve each built an enormous box community and rallied around the Open.
It’s time to celebrate the big guys.
The largest team in the world, CrossFit Enhance (North Central, USA), registered an incredible 520 athletes. That’s more than twice the size of 2011’s largest team, CrossFit Invictus, which last year tipped the scale with 219 athletes. As the “Largest Team Worldwide” winner, CrossFit Enhance has won 520 tickets to the 2012 Reebok CrossFit Games in Los Angeles, Calif., and their affiliate fee has been waived for life.
Our notable mention is CrossFit NYC. This box, as affiliate owner Hari Singh says, “it took seven years to become an overnight success.” They followed in a close second with 504 athletes (read more here How We Got 500 Athletes on Team CrossFit NYC).
Each region’s largest team is also walking away with a prize. These teams have won a number of tickets to their Regional equal to the number of registered athletes on their team.
