The 2021 CrossFit Open is right around the corner. The worldwide all-inclusive competition unites hundreds of thousands of athletes each year through friendly competition and community. For three weeks, we all sweat together, grow together, and challenge ourselves and others to be better than we were yesterday.

Take a look at the worldwide roster and you’ll find teenagers and masters; elite athletes and newbies; adaptive and able-bodied athletes; moms, dads, grandmothers, grandfathers, sisters, brothers, sons, and daughters.

Zoom in closer and you’ll find clusters of occupations competing together across the field. More than 6,000 physicians and nurses participated in the 2020 Open, and more than 11,000 teachers played in 2019.

The official CrossFit Games Leaderboard offers exclusive functionality to highlight these groups and determine who is the fittest in each one.

Custom Leaderboard: Your Time to Shine

The CrossFit Open is the largest participatory sporting event in the world, and for the majority of athletes, it’s the leaderboards among their local communities and peers that mean the most. For those not aspiring to compete at the Games, the Open is the time to shine among friends, family, and co-workers.

The CrossFit Games custom leaderboard feature allows athletes to distinguish themselves using hashtags such as #mom, #schoolteacher, #nurse, #healthcareworker, and anything else that describes your occupation or phase of life — try our hashtag wizard to personalize yours!

When you self-identify with hashtags on your athlete profile, you’ll be able to see a custom leaderboard only for athletes who choose the same hashtags. See where you rank among all the doctors in the Open or within the enormous community of moms who participate. The custom leaderboard is a fun way to relate to others in the worldwide competition while also testing your fitness against the masses.

To create your custom leaderboard, log in to your athlete profile, choose a hashtag or two, and get ready — the CrossFit Open starts in 17 days.
