The 2026 CrossFit Open, presented by Air National Guard, worldwide winners are Colten Mertens and Lucy Campbell. Their outstanding performances in all three Open workouts landed them on top of the individual men’s and women’s leaderboards.
How Scoring Works
The CrossFit Open uses a relative scoring system. In the Open, athletes are ranked on the leaderboard based on their performance relative to other athletes in their division, and are assigned a point value based on their placing in each event (e.g., first place = 1 point, second place = 2 points). At the end of the Open, the athlete with the least amount of points is the overall winner.
Meet the Winners
Women’s Division: Lucy Campbell
This is Lucy Campbell’s first Open win. After finishing second overall last year at the 2025 CrossFit Games, Campbell continued her impressive performance. She won the Open by 2 points over last year’s winner, Mirjam von Rohr. Campbell took second in 26.1, fourth in 26.2, and 10th in 26.3, en route to victory.
Men’s Division: Colten Mertens
Colten Mertens officially goes back-to-back. Last year, Mertens won two of the three Open workouts to take home a commanding victory. This year, he dominated again, finishing with just 9 points overall, taking third in 26.1, fifth in 26.2, and first in 26.3.
