The 2025 CrossFit Games Rulebook is now available on the CrossFit Games website.
The Rulebook is your guide to every stage of the 2025 CrossFit Games season. Familiarize yourself with the Rulebook to prepare for the start of the season, and register for the Open starting Wednesday, Jan. 15.
Here are a few notable changes to the season. Be sure to read the Rulebook for a full list of changes.
Affiliate Prizes
Affiliates are the heart of the sport season. Starting this year, a portion of all Open registrations will go toward affiliate prizes. Winners will be awarded US$2,500 Rogue gift cards!
For every 2,500 registrants globally, an additional prize is added to the overall pot. Prizes will be awarded in two categories:
- Participation: Affiliates with the most registered athletes by region.
- Performance: The top performing affiliate teams by region.

Athlete Payouts
Our Games athletes in all divisions showcase the power of the CrossFit methodology. Starting this year, athlete payouts across multiple stages/divisions will increase with the number of Open registrations.
Below are the prize purses that will grow as Open registrations increase:
- Top Individual Open Performers
- Top Individual In-Affiliate Semifinal Performers
- Top Affiliate Cup Games Performers
- Top Individual Games Performers
- Top Masters Games Performers
- Top Adaptive Games Performers

Competing at In-Affiliate Semifinals
In-Affiliate Semifinals must be completed at an affiliate in good standing. More information can be found in Section 2 of the Rulebook.
Team Athletes Can Compete in Individual Semifinals
Team athletes can qualify and compete at the Individual In-Affiliate Semifinals and In-Person Qualifying Events.

Top 20 Teams Qualify for Affiliate Cup
The top 20 teams from Semifinals will head to the Affiliate Cup at the CrossFit Games.
The team Open registration will cost $1 (yes, $1). No more than one team can qualify for the Games from one affiliate.

Competing in the Community Cup
All Open athletes who submit three scores will earn a level based on global performance. New this year, that level will determine each athlete’s placement in the Community Cup.

Submitting All Three Scores for Your Open Workouts Will Matter More Than Ever Before!
You are only eligible to compete in the Community Cup in June by obtaining a level, only earned by submitting all three Open scores.
To qualify for the new Pairs competition, you and your partner must submit a score for all three Open workouts. More info on the Pairs competition can be found HERE.
To give your affiliate the best chance at winning prizes for performance, you must submit all three Open workout scores. You must be registered as a team in order to qualify for the performance prize.
