CrossFit

Lift. Move. Work out.

Lift. Move. Work out.

We are officially in the offseason of the CrossFit Games, but that doesn’t mean the fun and fitness stop. Registration is now open for the 2021 CrossFit Lift Move Work competition. CrossFit Lift Move Work is a virtual event beginning Thursday, Oct. 21, at 12 p.m. (noon) PT, and ending Monday, Oct. 25, at 12 p.m. (noon) PT

This event is made up of one lift, one gymnastics skill component, and one test of general physical preparedness. All three tests will be completed within a set time frame. You can make more than one attempt at the trio of tests, but all three scores must come from the same attempt. The event is designed to be completed within a one-hour class.

Workout Variations

The 2021 CrossFit Lift Move Work competition has something for every athlete, from the newbie to the seasoned competitor. Plus, it's a great way to test your current fitness level in preparation for the 2022 Open!

Athletes can choose one of three tracks: Track 1, Track 2, or Track 3. These tracks will range from most advanced (T1) to intermediate (T2) to least advanced (T3) and will be programmed so athletes can see how they stack up against others of a similar fitness level while achieving the intended stimulus. Workouts will be announced the week of Oct. 4.

Athletes can determine which track is most appropriate for them by keeping in mind: Track 1 includes bar muscle-ups plus other movements, Track 2 includes pull-ups and more, and Track 3 includes ring rows and more.

An athlete’s division will be based on their birthdate, gender (man or woman)*, and age** as of Oct. 21, 2021. This competition includes 20 age divisions, ranging from ages 14 to 65+.

There are also adaptive divisions, as in the Open, with one track for each. Full details on specific classifications for adaptive divisions can be found in the CrossFit Games Adaptive Athlete Policy. Questions concerning classification or division selection can be directed to adaptive@crossfitgames.com.

* We recognize these gender identification categories do not apply to all participants, and our goal is to create a welcome space for everyone, including the nonbinary community. If you identify as nonbinary, please choose a category that most aligns with your physical ability.

** Athletes must be at least 14 years old on the first day of competition. No exceptions will be made.
