The CrossFit Games are the ultimate proving grounds for the Fittest on Earth. More than 380,000 athletes competed in the 2017 Open, but only the top fraction of a percent earn the chance to compete on the big stage.
At the Games, fans experience what CrossFit Founder Greg Glassman has called the “Woodstock of fitness.” Since its inception in 2007, the Games have grown from a small throw down at the historic Ranch in Aromas, California, to an enormous celebration of fitness where the CrossFit community comes together to witness the crowning of the Fittest on Earth and connect with other trainers, athletes, fans and affiliate owners from around the world.
In 2017, the CrossFit Games move to Madison, Wisconsin. This year’s event will be held at the Alliant Energy Center, Aug. 3-6. The Masters, Teenage, Individual and Team competitions will all take place within four days. A detailed schedule of the competition will be released at a later date.
During downtime in the competition, fans can take part in many activities. There will be more than 200,000 square feet of exhibitors and sponsors, a 20,000-square-foot beer garden, space for RV and tent camping, 20,000 square feet of spectator workout space, opportunities to try the same workouts as the athletes, live demonstrations from CrossFit Subject Matter Experts, concerts and more! The entire city of Madison will be geared up for the Games, with great dining, drinking and outdoor activities throughout the city.
Tickets will be on sale for the public starting Thursday, April 27, 2017.
Ticketing
Affiliate Pre-Sale
The Affiliate ticket pre-sale will begin Friday, April 21, 2017, and last until Wednesday, April 26, 2017. Affiliates that had 12 or more athletes sign up for the 2017 Open will get early access to the ticketing website, Ticketmaster, where they’ll be able to purchase up to eight (8) Festival + Coliseum Packages and an unlimited number of Festival Packages (must be purchased in one transaction).
To gain early access, you must have a code. Affiliate managers should sign into their account at Games.CrossFit.com and check their competition dashboard page to find their unique code, which will allow them to purchase up to eight Festival + Coliseum Packages through Ticketmaster. Codes will be displayed on April 10 at 5 p.m. PT.
If you are having trouble accessing your passcode, please contact support@crossfitgames.com. If you have trouble processing your ticket order, please contact Ticketmaster at 1-800-653-8000, or check out Ticketmaster’s customer service FAQ.
Anyone can use the code. If the Affiliate Manager is not interested in purchasing tickets, he or she can hand it off to another member at the gym or a friend halfway around the world. There are no restrictions on who can use the code; it’s entirely up to the Affiliate Manager.
Keep in mind that the code can only be used once for a single purchase. For example, you will not be able to have four friends purchase two packages each. In that scenario, you will need to have one friend buy eight packages and have the other three friends pay her back.
Beginning Thursday, April 27, 2017, remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public.
New in 2017: RFID Wristbands
The 2017 Reebok CrossFit Games will be using high-tech, RFID enabled wristbands to maximize your CrossFit Games experience. Your wristband serves as your admission ticket to enter the Games fast—with just a quick tap of your wristband—so make sure it's registered ahead of time.
Outside Lands, Coachella, and many other major music festivals have turned to RFID enabled wristbands to allow attendees to come and go freely between venues. We believe it's a natural fit for the CrossFit Games. If you've never used them before it's important you check out this page and take a few minutes to learn how they work.
Receiving Your Wristbands
Those who purchase packages within the United States and internationally can choose between having their wristbands mailed or picking them up at will call. Wristbands will be assigned to one individual and are non-transferable. Please note that you will receive an email confirmation of your purchase, but there will not be a physical ticket. Your wristband will serve as your ticket and will contain your seat information.
Buyers inside the United States must complete their purchases by July 14, 2017, in order to have their wristbands mailed. Buyers from outside the United States must complete their purchases by June 30, 2017, in order to have them mailed. International buyers who purchase packages after June 30, 2017, may only claim their wristbands at will call.
Please note:
- Alliant Energy Center Box Office/Will Call will be open Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. CT.
- Beginning Thursday, Aug. 3, the Box Office/Will Call will be open from 7 a.m. until two hours before the close of the competition day.
Festival Package
A Festival Ticket is a four-day pass that allows access to all events and activities except the Coliseum show. Festival Tickets are $99. If you only purchase a Festival Package, you will have all access to the masters and teenage competitions, as well as all outside events for the teams and individuals. The Alliant Energy Center campus will also have ample access to video boards where you can take in all the action. If you’re not in the Coliseum, the 20,000-square-foot beer garden is the place to be!
Masters divisions will be competing in the Coliseum on Friday and Saturday mornings. During these events, the Coliseum is open to all spectators, regardless of ticket type, with open seating. Immediately following the conclusion of these events, spectators without the appropriate ticket level will be asked to vacate the Coliseum.
Check the CrossFit Games app or games.CrossFit.com for schedule times.
NOTE: Festival+Coliseum pass holders who have assigned seats will not have priority over their seats during the Masters events that take place in the Coliseum.
Single-day tickets will not be available in the initial sale. CrossFit reserves the right to sell single-day tickets later, online or at the door, if available.
Festival + Coliseum Package
A Festival + Coliseum ticket is a four-day pass, which includes access to all events throughout the day and a reserved seat for the nightly Coliseum show. Tickets range from $225 to $500. Price is dependent on the location of your Coliseum seat.
With a Festival + Coliseum Package, you will have access to all of the Individual, Team, Masters and Teenage competitions.
With the purchase of a $500 ticket, you’ll be as close as possible to the action in your nightly seat in the Coliseum. Only those ticket holders will have the ability to order upgraded food and beverages to be delivered directly to their seats.
By purchasing a Festival + Coliseum package you will have access to everything the Festival package offers as well as a reserved seat for the nightly Coliseum show. A Festival + Coliseum package is all you need to attend every second of the action.
A note about children’s tickets: Kids 12 and under will receive free Festival admission but will need tickets or passes if they wish to enter the Coliseum or one of the Madison Club locations. Children under age 2 who do not need a physical seat will be considered lap babies and do not need a ticket for the Coliseum or Madison Club locations.
