Starting Thursday, Feb. 23, at 5 p.m. PT, the workouts for the 2017 Reebok CrossFit Games Open will be announced live each week from locations around the world. Shortly after Director of the Games Dave Castro announces the week’s challenge, select athletes will compete in the workout and set the scores to beat.
Week 1, Feb. 23-27, sponsored by Paleoethics
Vellner vs. Fikowski and Holte vs. Briggs
Castro will announce Open Workout 17.1 from Reebok CrossFit Louvre in Paris, France. Shortly after the announcement, we'll throw it to an entirely different country as Patrick Vellner and Brent Fikowski—2016’s third- and fourth-fittest men on Earth, respectively—kick off the 2017 Games season from Reebok CrossFit Yul, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. We'll also get to watch 2013 Games champion Samantha Briggs and 2016 Games 12th-place finisher Kristin Holte throw down on 17.1 in Paris.

Pearce vs. Eramo
Castro will announce 17.2 from Rogue Fitness Headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. Fifth-fittest woman on Earth Kari Pearce will battle head-to-head against Kristi Eramo, a 2016 Games rookie who finished in eighth overall. Tickets for this event can be purchased here.

Fraser vs. Panchik vs. Sager
Workout 17.3 will be announced live from Alamo City CrossFit in San Antonio, Texas. In a triple matchup, Fittest Man on Earth Mat Fraser will complete the third Open workout alongside perennial Games athletes Scott Panchik and Cole Sager.
Week 4, March 16-20, sponsored by Assault FITNESS
Wells vs. Castro
The fourth week of the Open will take us to Cygnus CrossFit in Mexico City, Mexico. 2016’s sixth-fittest woman on Earth and USA Invitational team member, Brooke Wells, will go head-to-head against Brenda Castro, last year’s fittest woman in Mexico.

Davidsdottir vs. Sigmundsdottir
Welcome to Madison! The final workout of the 2017 Open will be announced from the new home of the CrossFit Games: Madison, Wisconsin. Fans will gather at Monona Terrace to watch two-time reigning Fittest Woman on Earth Katrin Davidsdottir go up against fellow countrywoman and two-time CrossFit games third-place finisher Sara Sigmundsdottir.
