New Ways For Teens to Compete in CrossFit in 2024

The Teenage Division is leveling up in 2024!
More teen athletes will compete at the Teenage CrossFit Games than ever before, and there will be new ways to compete in events hosted by the Pit Teen Throwdown.
The 2024 Teenage CrossFit Games will take place from Aug. 30-Sept. 1, 2024, in Kalamazoo and Three Rivers, Michigan.
For teens who don’t qualify for the Teenage CrossFit Games, there will be two additional competitions to qualify for.
Pit Teen Throwdown
The Pit Teen Throwdown is an annual fitness competition exclusive to athletes aged 14-17.
The competition will take place right before the Teenage CrossFit Games from Wednesday, Aug. 28, through Thursday, Aug. 29, in Kalamazoo and Three Rivers, Michigan.
Up to 90 athletes will qualify for the Pit Teen Throwdown.
New! Pit Collegiate Throwdown
The Pit Collegiate Throwdown is a new addition to the Pit Teen Throwdowns, exclusively for college-level athletes ages 18-22.
Athletes will start with the 2024 CrossFit Open, where they will advance to an online qualifier to determine the top 60 men and women to compete at the Pit Collegiate Throwdown.
The competition will take place alongside the Pit Teen Throwdown from Wednesday, Aug. 28, through Thursday, Aug. 29, in Kalamazoo and Three Rivers, Michigan.
All teenage athletes will begin their season with the three-week worldwide CrossFit Open alongside individuals and teams. The age groups include:
- Boys and Girls 14-15.
- Boys and Girls 16-17.
Athletes ages 18-22 will compete in the individual division for the Open.
