The Regionals are Coming

As the CrossFit Games have grown, the Regionals have become as competitive as the early CrossFit Games, and retained the Woodstock feel. Wish you’d camped on the hillsides of Aromas, and watched—beer in hand—as Jason Khalipa came out of nowhere to take the title in 2008? Get down to your Regional.

In less than two months, the 2012 CrossFit Games Regionals kick off. For five weeks—from the end of April through the end of May—the fittest athletes will compete to represent their region at the 2012 Reebok CrossFit Games in Carson, Calif., at the Home Depot Center. (Find all the dates and locations here).

It won’t be easy. With no more than three berths to the Games offered, your region’s top 60 will surely give their all through the three days of brutal competition. Rookies go head-to-head with veteran Games competitors, and no one is prequalified. Only the very fittest will be invited to compete on the world stage.

“At Regionals, fans are able to connect with people who share the same life passions,” Chip Pugh of CrossFit Faith says. “You get to watch the fittest people in your region compete at the highest level. Where else could we go to have such an experience?”

Grab your cooler, sketch some signs and create your victory dance. It’s almost time to cheer on your favorite athletes.

Your Regional page will be your main source of travel info, on-site details and scheduling. Make sure to stay up-to-date right here on the Games site.
