Members at Overland Park CrossFit, of greater Kansas City, spend their free time volunteering at Hope Faith Ministries.

"There's about 12,000 homeless people in Kansas City on any given day," says the affiliate's co-owner Nichole Seiter. "This is an outreach for the homeless whether it's food, clothing, help with job resumes, lockers to put their stuff in, etc."

For many, this is an opportunity to come together to help their greater community. 

"At Overland Park CrossFit, one of the things we really strive to do is philanthropic work," Seiter explains. "It's in our mission statement and so, we really strive to take what we have and what we learn and better not only ourselves, but also our community."
