Lindsey Smith finished the 1,000-meter row, 50 thrusters at 45-lbs., and 30 pull-ups in just 6:09.2. She took the win at the 2013 Central East Regional, edging out fellow multi-year Games competitor Michelle Kinney by 5 seconds (6:14.2).
Dan Bailey was one of five men at the Central East Regional to finish Jackie in five minutes and nine seconds. It all came down to tenth of a second differences between Joseph Weigel (5:09.2), Dan Bailey (5:09.4), Graham Holmberg and Scott Panchik (5:09.6), and Rich Froning (5:09.8).
Last year, Scott Panchik and Marcus Hendren were relative unknowns when they qualified for the CrossFit Games. Both were splitting their time between their careers and their training for their sport.
After finishing in the top 10 at the 2012 Reebok CrossFit Games, Panchik and Hendren both decided to leave their careers in order to focus on their training for 2013.

This year, they finished the Open in 13th, but after one day of competition, Jacked and Tan holds onto 4th at the 2013 Central East Regional.
After four Events, Jennifer Smith of CrossFit Maximus is in the lead at the 2013 Central East Regional. The former team competitor had no idea how well she would do on her own.
This morning, she and Lindy Wall went rep-for-rep on the dumbbell snatches of Event 4. At the time cap, the two competitors were tied with 17 dumbbell snatches remaining.
Lindy Wall holds fourth overall, and is 9 points behind third-ranked Michelle Kinney.
CrossFit Mayhem finished in first place at the Central East Regional, earning a spot to the CrossFit Games for the first time. They'll be in good company, as their head coach and affiliate owner, Rich Froning, will be joining them.
